Alan Barlow
Senior Vice President, Claims Director
Mr. Barlow has over 25 years experience in the legal, claims and risk management areas of the Insurance Industry, gained both in the UK and the United States. Prior to joining Endurance in 2004, Mr. Barlow held the position of Claims Director of Sorema UK & Trenwick International, London from 1993 to 2004. There, he was responsible for building out and leading their claims teams in the handling of property & casualty insurance & reinsurance claims. Mr. Barlow started his career in law as a Para-legal working for the international firms of Attorneys, Clyde & Co in London & later Lillick, Mchose & Charles, San Francisco. In this position Mr. Barlow handling all aspects of both marine property & casualty disputes. Mr. Barlow has also held a risk management and claims role at Exxon Corp, London, where he was responsible on behalf of their captive Insurer, Ancon, Bermuda, for handling the risk and claims activities arising from the Corporations European, Scandinavian & the Middle East operations.
