Marc J. Karnell
Senior Vice President, Claims Director

Mr. Karnell is a practiced claim executive with over 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Prior to joining Endurance in 2004, Mr. Karnell was a Vice President in the claims division of Odyssey Re of America (formerly TIG Re). There he was responsible for managing losses impacting all lines of business across the Odyssey Re portfolio, including Workers’ Compensation, General Casualty, Surety, Professional Liability and Property. Mr. Karnell also has international claims experience from his role managing losses emanating from Odyssey Re’s branches in Latin America, EuroAsia, Canada and London. Prior to joining Odyssey Re, Mr. Karnell held various positions of responsibility with Cologne Re of America and NAC Re in their respective claim divisions. Mr. Karnell began his insurance career as a multi-line claims supervisor for U.S.F.&G. in their New York City branch office. Mr. Karnell is a graduate of Fordham University and holds a law degree from Golden Gate University. Mr. Karnell was admitted to the New York bar in 1985.
