James T. McNamara
Senior Vice President, Reinsurance Claims

Mr. McNamara joined Endurance Specialty Insurance Limited in April 2006 with over 30 years of industry claims experience. Prior to joining Endurance Specialty, he held the position of Senior Vice President & Global Head of Claims for Centre Solutions, Part of Zurich Financial Services. Before joining Centre Solutions Mr. McNamara spent seventeen plus years with various Swiss Re companies. The last eight years Mr. McNamara held the position of Senior Vice President for Swiss Re Financial Services and Swiss Re America. Earlier in his career he held various claims positions at Skandia America Reinsurance Corp, Home Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual. Mr. McNamara is a past president of the Excess Surplus Lines Claims Association. He has given presentations in front of various groups including The Federation Defense Corporate Counsel and International Association of Defense Counsel. He has served as a party appointed arbitrator in reinsurance related disputes. Mr. McNamara attended Iona College and received a BA in 1976 and his MBA in 1988.
