Endurance Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer to Speak at Upcoming Casualty Actuarial Society Seminar

Mike Angelina, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer, will be participating in two panel discussions on March 17, at the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Ratemaking Seminar in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The first session will be a roundtable titled “The Role of the Reinsurance Actuary Contrasted with Primary”. This breakout session will discuss the differences in data quantity and quality, in procedural context, in scope and in the essential qualities needed for effectiveness and “success”.

The second session is titled “Reconciliation of Exposure and Experience Rating”. In this session a simple yet powerful method will be presented that takes the approach that each account is a puzzle to be solved. That is, "With perfect modeling and data, the results under the experience and exposure methods will be identical". A practitioner’s approach will be taken.
